Rock Health is hiring an Events Manager!
We are looking for a phenomenal individual ready to dive into the nitty gritty details of planning and executing events for the Rock Health community. This person will work closely with the Director of Education and Director of Marketing to coordinate meetups, educational workshops, large conferences, and the one and only Rock Health Demo Day.
If you want to hang out with inspirational digital health entrepreneurs, flex your creative muscle on a daily basis, and get your hands dirty—this is your job.
Rock Health events bring together diverse minds from healthcare, technology, and beyond to wrestle with healthcare’s most challenging problems. Rock Health creates and produces one-of-a-kind experiences including Health Innovation Summit, digital health’s premier conference, and partners with other organizations to throw the best healthcare events you’ve ever attended. We like putting people with different perspectives and experiences in the same room to share new ideas, discover big opportunities, and to inspire one another to change healthcare for the better.

The Job
The Rock Health Events Manager is responsible for playing host to the digital health world. From planning and executing big events like Demo Day and Health Innovation Summit to welcoming groups into our office, this is a very visible role that requires someone who is professional, energetic, and hard-working.

… drink the Rock Health kool aid. You care deeply about solving real problems in healthcare, and believe that entrepreneurs are the key to revolutionizing this balkanized industry.
… get stuff done. You love working with people, but ultimately are a self-driven go-getter that learns quickly and moves fast.
… work hard, play hard. This is not a 9-5 job where you can study for the MCATs or learn cross stitch on the side. We work really hard and accomplish 10X what we would in a corporate setting, and have fun doing it.
… were born a host, and have planned events since you were 6. You have experience in event planning, can anticipate the needs of guests, and remain zen even when everything falls apart.
… are extremely detail oriented. Your sixth sense is for spreadsheets that haven’t been updated and you can spot a typo from a mile away!
… are a hustler! Nothing can stop you from finding your way to securing a big-shot speaker, negotiating an affordable exhibiting price for startups, or figuring out how to build that WordPress widget…
We’d be extra impressed if you….
… have experience with HTML/CSS, WordPress, Eventbrite, Google Apps suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, Asana, Campaign Monitor, Slideshare, etc.
… have experience putting on large, 100+ person events
… can work a fancy camera
… can edit videos
… have a sharp sense of humor and aced creative writing in college
