The future of healthcare is in the cloud: Announcing our partnership with Google Cloud

It’s been a busy 2019 so far at Rock Health! We’ve asserted that digital health is not in an investment bubble, announced our East Coast-based event series for enterprise leaders, examined how startups can stand out in the crowded employer healthcare market, and convened industry leaders to overcome key friction points in enterprise-startup partnerships in digital health.

Our team is exceptionally passionate about that last topic. Our research shows digital health solutions are largely reaching consumers via a health plan, provider, employer, pharma company, or other entity. This tells us that entrepreneurial innovation in healthcare can’t exist without a robust network of well-informed enterprise partners—and is why we’ve cultivated a corporate partnership program with leading enterprise innovators in healthcare. We’re proud to work alongside 25+ partners, including CVS Health, GSK, Intermountain Healthcare, and Blue Shield of California, who seek to work with startups to drive impact at scale from digital solutions. The mission of the Rock Health partner program is to educate, support, and elevate corporate leaders building the enterprise market for digital health. (Interested in joining us? Get in touch.)

Our conviction that innovation requires elevating both digital health entrepreneurs and enterprise leaders is a key reason we’re thrilled to announce our newest corporate partner, Google Cloud.

Google Cloud also supports both sides of the digital health market—the entrepreneurs building impactful, life-saving products, and the healthcare enterprises seeking to embrace innovation from the outside in. Google Cloud accelerates digital transformation for organizations with existing clinical systems and enables new entrants to easily integrate with care networks.

Wellframe, a Rock Health portfolio company focused on digital health management, has partnered with Google Cloud to power Wellframe’s platform that helps people and care teams build trusted relationships that drive early interventions. The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) helps Wellframe simplify its operating needs while ensuring data security, deploy machine learning into practice, and empowers Wellframe-supported healthcare organizations to scale patient support — which has resulted in 80% patient care plan engagement.

On the enterprise side of the market, Google Cloud also supports Novo Nordisk, a Rock Health corporate partner intent on defeating diabetes and other serious chronic conditions. Through the BrightInsight platform built on GCP, Novo Nordisk securely integrates with the diabetes management solutions that patients are already using within a regulatory-compliant environment—empowering Novo Nordisk to meet patients where they are and improve diabetic patient outcomes.

Rock Health is honored to work alongside Google Cloud to support both sides of the digital health market and shape the future of this sector.

To kick off our partnership, Rock Health is co-hosting our Boston Enterprise Insights Series event with Google Cloud. This event will bring together leaders from across the healthcare industry (payers, providers, pharma, medical device, self-insured employers and beyond) to join forces in building the enterprise market for digital health. We’ll use the half-day event to showcase key learnings from successful enterprise-startup partnerships, and attendees will hear directly from Google Cloud leaders and others tackling the challenges that remain in scaling digital health solutions across enterprises.

Interested in attending? Our Enterprise Insights Series is also coming to NYC and Washington, DC and NYC in May. Request an invitation to any of the three events here.
