We found out what patients really want

While algorithms can undoubtedly recall far more medical data than a human, they still can’t hold a candle to understanding the nuances of communication. Even so, more than half of Twitter users who responded would prefer a computer determine their rare disease.

But AI isn’t everything. Apparently usability trumps trustworthiness for patients' health information preferences, and people with chronic diseases are finding solace in selfies and memes.
