Can digital health help with healthcare worker burnout?

Across the past eighteen months, healthcare has experienced a significant workforce shortage. To address this crisis, 40% of surveyed health systems report they are quickly ramping up hiring. While it's not the only solution, digital health can help. Automated support for health system employees is on the way, and in the past month, workflow solutions Element5, Sirona Medical, and Clinify Health all raised funding rounds, joined by clinical care coordination software Wellbe last week. According to the Rock Health venture funding database, clinical workflow solutions already surpassed all of 2020’s $721M funding, with $868M secured through August 2021. We’re hopeful that these workflow technologies, coupled with other solutions, can alleviate some of the burden faced by our frontline workers.
