Rest assured
Lately, sleep innovation has been anything but drowsy. Sleep Cycle and Headspace are advancing clinical validation of their app-first sleep tools. Meanwhile, wearable makers continue to add and enhance sleep features. Earlier this year, Samsung teamed up with Stanford Medicine to advance clinical-grade sleep apnea detection on the Galaxy watch, while Oura partnered with Open to personalize sleep content. Most recently, RingConn—one of the only smart rings with built-in sleep apnea monitoring—hit Target store shelves to scale to a larger consumer base.
But it’s not just watches and rings—headbands are having a moment, too. Beacon Biosignals acquired CleveMed to advance at-home sleep monitoring, while Somnee secured an additional $10M to refine its personalized brain stimulation. Whether screening for underdiagnosed, treatable sleep conditions, optimizing sleep for general well-being, or advancing treatment modalities, sleep health innovators are not hitting snooze—they’re wide awake and revolutionizing rest.
