A small bright spot

With another COVID-19 surge here in time for the holiday season, a small bright spot has been the efforts of the digital health sector to help beat the virus and put us on a path to some semblance of normalcy. New developments include X-ray AI to detect signs of COVID on the lungs, and to double-check ventilator tube placement in hospitalized COVID patients.

Meanwhile, the pandemic continues to place undue burden on informal caregivers, who carry the responsibility of providing emotional, physical, financial, and legal support for their loved ones who are aging, ill, or disabled. On December 10 at 9:00am PT, we’re co-hosting our next Aging in Place webinar with Healthworx to learn how they’re using human-centered design to create holistic solutions for caregivers. Voting for this year’s Top 50 in Digital Health closes Friday, December 4. Cast your votes and recognize healthcare’s changemakers!
