As expected, the buzz around AI solutions in healthcare has only grown; over $400M has been invested in AI-enabled U.S. digital health startups so far in 2024. Pharma companies, some of AI’s earliest adopters in healthcare, continue to roll out new announcements and initiatives. Just this month, Roche tapped PathAI to develop algorithms for companion diagnostics, Bristol Myers Squibb signed a nearly $700M deal with VantAI to leverage generative AI for molecular research, and pharma-tech coalition AION Labs spun out a new startup, TenAces, which applies AI to cancer and neurodegenerative drug discovery.
