Speaking of Harvard, Professor Ashish Jha's JAMA piece examines the state of national value-based purchasing efforts. This is one reason why former CMS head Andy Slavitt is on the road talking to 175 hospital execs about the real world impact of health policy. He's found that their number one priority is “adopting value-based care and reducing care variation”—though 30% are now adopting “a wait and see approach”.
