Prime time for One Medical
Black Friday is almost here, and last week saw the launch of new digital health offerings in time for the holidays. Amazon announced it would offer unlimited One Medical telehealth visits to Prime customers for $99 a year ($100 off a standard subscription). Consumer genetic testing pioneer 23andMe launched 23andMe+ Total Health, a new membership program that bundles exome sequencing, blood testing, and clinical services with a focus on prevention and early detection. Meanwhile, fellow D2C player Hims & Hers is testing an AI clinical decision support program for mental health treatment (including prescriptions). In the D2C digital health market, premium consumer offerings and extending clinical capacity are trends likely to take us into the new year.
