Just a few weeks after publishing our piece on healthcare’s “middle children," we’ve been fascinated to see CrossFit introduce a telehealth service; Garmin partner with Dexcom for real-time API integration; and Best Buy go deeper into remote patient monitoring by acquiring Current Health. We continue to be big believers in the middle children’s potential for meaningful disruption, so keep your eyes on this cohort of large retail, fitness, and tech companies with market capitalizations between $10B and $350B that have avoided the “Big” label, but are still a force to be reckoned with.
