Amazon has led healthcare on a wild scavenger hunt the past year and last week revealed the “treasure." With scant detail, they announced a partnership with JPMorgan and Berkshire Hathaway in an effort to lower healthcare costs for 1M Americans—their employees. They wouldn’t be the first employer consortium to try to lower health costs. The announcement rippled across airwaves, erased $30B in market value in two hours, and worried many JPMorgan clients.
