the rock weekly 7/18

It’s hard to believe that a whole month has skipped by since we opened our doors. Last week was action packed, with a flurry of workshops, visits from mentors and advisors and our very first usability fair.

On Tuesday, the team from Cooper Design flooded our office for the first of nine weekly design workshops. They introduced the process of design, which you can read about in a full post here. We also hosted a workshop featuring IP lawyer Jeffery Schox and Zach Malchano, co-founder at InSite Medical Technologies, both of whom shared valuable IP-related lessons. And no week would be complete without a few visits from our rock star advisors and mentors. This week, office hours included George Kassabgi from Keas, Dr. Eric Rose from Microsoft, Darren Hite from Aberdare Ventures, Charles Huang from RedOctane and Michael Esquivel from Fenwick & West. We ended the week with the first of several Rock Health-hosted usability testing fairs to help the startups improve their products, followed by some 80s music, Kinect and office shenanigans.

How many Rock Healthers can we cram into the elevator?
