Women in Focus

There’s no doubt that innovators and investors have been stepping up to address women+ health. In 2024, $671M was invested in digital health startups addressing women+ health needs, accounting for 6.6% of all digital health funding—the highest proportion since 2021. And it’s paying off—women are showing up as active digital health users. More than half have used virtual care in the past year (56%), digitally track health metrics (54%), or own a wearable or connected device (52%), according to our 2024 Consumer Adoption of Digital Health Survey.

At Rock Health, as we pursue more work in the women+ health space, we wanted to dive deeper into our Survey data to understand how women navigate digital care experiences today, where they find value, and which tools are earning their trust. Some of our findings? They’re active health trackers (but not always digitally); they’re using wearables (though adoption varies across form factors); and they’re searching online for health information (but skeptical of what they find).

Read on for insights to help guide the future of health innovation for women—not just by identifying gaps, but by centering how women want to experience care and manage their health.
