Keith W. Anderson

Keith is the former CFO of Amwell (NYSE:AMWL) who led all aspects of their $953m IPO and $200 million pre-IPO fund raising. Keith partnered with the founder-CEO to execute the founder’s inorganic growth strategy and finance his vision through a public listing. In preparation for the IPO, Keith led the build-out of public company-caliber accounting, finance, FP&A and M&A teams and the acquisitions of four companies that fit their pre and post-COVID business strategies.

Prior to Amwell, Keith was an eighteen-year investment banker with primary coverage of the healthcare information-driven technology and services sectors in both New York and London. He was responsible for origination and execution of M&A as well as both debt and equity financings. He was a bookrunner on over 15 IPOs and advised on over 100 M&A, debt and equity capital markets transactions representing over $65 billion in M&A or raised funds for digital health, CROs, PBM, payers, RCM, HSA, fintech, hospital and lab services companies. Keith was awarded Healthcare Banker of the Year in 2018 by The Deal and a Top 50 M&A Dealmaker in 2017 by the Global M&A Network publication.

Prior to investment banking, Keith spent six years with EY as a CPA working in their audit and M&A practices in both Chicago and London focused on entrepreneurial growth companies, the NFL collective bargain agreement, and due diligence of private equity target acquisitions. Keith earned his undergraduate degrees in accounting and theology from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from the Ross School of Business at Michigan.

Keith is passionately focused on ending the cycle of homelessness in the United States and is currently on the Boards of Breaktime, Catholic Charities and the Immigrant Learning Center. He was the youngest member of Cardinal Dolan’s Business Leaders Committee in New York and was a night manager at the Lincoln Park Homeless Shelter in Chicago.

Keith married his college sweetheart and lives in Boston with his two children and their large dog, Gus.The family runs a farm in Essex, MA where Keith and the kids are commercial fishermen and the kids commercial clammers.
