Dr. Monique Smith is a healthcare executive, angel investor, and digital health strategist with deep expertise in design, technology transformation, and care model innovation. She serves on the American Medical Association’s Advisory Group and has advised Fortune 100 companies and the White House’s Clinician Innovation Roundtable.
As Founding Executive Director of Health DesignED at Emory, Dr. Smith leads innovation initiatives translating clinical insights into scalable solutions. A two-time digital health founder and angel investor with Atlanta Tech Angels, she brings both an operational and investment lens. She advises health tech ventures as Executive in Residence at Matter Incubator and through her work with the Caribbean Catalyst Innovation Institute, Novamed. Monique was previously the Director of Design and Innovation and led RockHealth.org’s Equitable Design Initiative.
A Harvard-educated emergency physician recognized as one of the “Top 50 in Digital Health,” Dr. Smith has delivered technology-enabled healthcare strategies across five continents. She holds degrees from Harvard (BA, MD) and the London School of Economics (MSc).
