Rock Health and the Apple Store San Francisco came together to showcase how to leverage powerful health applications on iPad, iPhone, and Mac. Representatives from Rock Health and up-and-coming digital health startups demoed exciting new products all available in the App store now.
Six digital health companies demoed products all available to download in the Apple App store! These products ranged from a wearable sensor devices to to interactive video games iPad Apps. Read the recaps below.
Alex Gourley, founder and CEO BitGym recounted his story of buying the iPad when it first came out in the Apple Store San Francisco. He was excited about the various possibilities to utilize their technology built into the iPad. Bitgym uses it to build innovative exercise games.
Ann Scott Plant and Leslie Silverglide demoed how Wello connects consumers with a live personal trainer. Wello makes it easier to get and stay fit. They connect you with a live fitness professional over interactive video chat for convenient, accountable and affordable workouts.
Michael Pan is the CEO and co-founder of Nephosity, building a collaborative medical image viewing platform for iPads. Nephosity allows you to view and collaborate on any type of medical image.
Maria Ly, Skimble’s co-founder, got the audience out of their seats with Skimble’s Workout Trainer. Skimble powers the next-generation mobile fitness movement with fun & dynamic coaching apps for everyone. Skimble’s latest app, Workout Trainer, delivers 1000’s of multimedia workouts led by expert coaches and is a top free health & fitness app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Hadi El Heneidi from Misfit Wearable, a statup focused on making great wearable products, demoed their first product Misfit Shine. It is on pre-order on Indiegogo – Misfit Shine, an elegant, wireless activity tracker now.
Jason Langheier ended the evening showing off Zipongo’s discount grocery list. Zipongo helps families find and buy healthy groceries at the best prices, personalized to their health needs and preferences. Zipongo’s new iPhone app helps people find savings on healthy foods, manage digital coupons clipped to their store rewards cards, and build grocery lists for on-the-go shopping at the stores where they shop.
