We’re seeking a talented and experienced writer to join our team in a part-time capacity to help drive insights that shape the future of healthcare.
As a Content Writer for Rock Health Advisory, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, well-researched content that communicates complex digital health topics in an engaging and accessible manner for readers who are healthcare leaders at employer, payer, provider, and pharma organizations. You will contribute to the development (research and writing) of blog posts, white papers, and other forms of content that align with our brand’s voice and messaging. You will work closely with our consulting, communications, and growth teams, as well as industry experts to ensure that all content is accurate, informative, and resonates with our target audiences.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write compelling and informative blog posts, white papers, and other digital health content that aligns with industry trends and insights, sometimes tailored to key healthcare audiences (e.g., provider, payer, employer, pharma)
- Research: Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative research on topics related to digital health, including emerging technologies, healthcare startups, investment trends, and regulatory changes
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external experts to gather insights, data, and perspectives that enhance the quality of the content
- Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all content is free of errors, adheres to our style guide, and meets the highest standards of quality
- SEO Optimization: Integrate SEO best practices into content to maximize reach and engagement
- Project Management: Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent communication with the editorial team
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional B2B writing experience (i.e., writing for business readers), with a strong portfolio of representative materials such as blog posts, newsletters, industry reports, white papers. Experience writing about healthcare or digital health is a plus
- Expertise: Strong understanding of healthcare operations, digital health, healthcare innovation, and related fields
- Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough qualitative and quantitative research and distill complex information into clear, concise content. Ability to interpret data (e.g., from an Excel spreadsheet) is required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in an accessible manner.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- (Preferred) SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience incorporating them into content is a plus.
- (Preferred) Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Healthcare, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Compensation
This is a part-time role with an hourly pay rate of $70-$90, depending on industry alignment and experience. The content writer is expected to work 40-60 hours per month, with flexibility to meet project timelines and content demands.
