The Rock Weekly – August 8th
All work and no play can make any startup (or startup incubator) a little crazy. So even though we’re knee deep in code, our workshops, a little happy hour, a few food trucks and Kinect livened things up last week. We started off our week with a group field trip to Off the Grid at St. Mary’s Square for lunch with a few of our favorite mobile chefs. Creative juices flowed on Tuesday when the Cooperistas forced teams to stop coding and write stories about their users at our Cooper Design workshop. For our weekly workshop, we welcomed Doug Ludlow, founder of Hipster and Michelle Snyder, former SVP of Epocrates to share solid strategy and how to get your company’s story heard. This presentation was jam packed of innovative tips, actionable items and learning how a year’s supply of PRB can get help you make the hire of your dreams.
Thanks to our great mentors who spent time with our startups last week: John Wilbanks ( Creative Common/Kauffman Foundation), Dr. Eric Rose (Microsoft) and Emily Chang, (Ideacodes).
